سو بار سوچا تھا کہ تم سے کچھ عرضِ دل کریں
دیدار ہو گیا تو ہر بات کو ملاقات تو نہ کہو
اس ایک لمحے کی جھلک نے دو جہاں سنوار دیے
میری اس خواب جیسی رات کو ملاقات تو نہ کہو
دل کے راز کھل گئے، آنکھوں نے سب کہہ دیا
دور رہ کر بھی جو پاس رہے، اسے جدائی تو نہ کہو
تم بن جو ایک پل بھی صدیوں سا گزر جائے
اس دردِ دل کو صرف انتظار تو نہ کہو
آج چاند بھی میری طرح تنہا سا لگ رہا ہے
تم بن گزری جو رات، اسے رات تو نہ کہو
